Palangka Raya, January 27, 2016. In 2015 the Central Kalimantan Forestry Independent Monitoring Network (JPIK) in the forestry governance sector in the upstream industry and downstream industries has found cases of violations of law. These cases have been reported legally to the Police Agency and the Forest Service, but the reports submitted are not taken seriously. In addition to reports, complaints / findings were also submitted to the Certification Body, National Accreditation Commission (KAN), and the Ministry of Environment and Forestry (KLHK). This report on complaints / findings has not been resolved seriously.

This finding was proven by the Central Kalimantan EIA and JPIK case study and made a report to the Gunung Mas Police Chief towards PT Kahayan Agro Plantations, PT Flora Nusa Perdana and PT Prasetya Mitra Muda, a report to the East Kotawaringin Police Chief towards PT Nusantara Sawit Persada, a report to the Lamandau Police Chief PT Sawit Lamandau Raya, and complaints to RSPO towards PT Sawit Mandiri Lestari. The report was also submitted to the Forestry Service Office of Central Kalimantan Province to PT Kahayan Agro Platations and PT Kahayan Hutan Lestari. In addition, complaints report on PT Korintiga Hutani certification to PT Mutuagung Lestari Certification Agency, complaints report on PT Korindo Aria Bima Sari certification to PT Mutu Hijau Indonesia Certification Agency, complaints report on PT Amprah Mitra Jaya certification to PT Rensa Global Trust Certification Body, report complaints about PT Taiyoung Egreen certification to PT Inti Multima Certification Certification Agency, complaint report on PT Bumimas Permata Abadi certification to PT Transtra Permada Certification Agency, complaint report on PT Kahayan Hutan Lestari certification to PT Mutuagung Lestari Certification Agency, complaint report on UD Setia certification Budi went to the PT Transtra Permada Certification Body, reported complaints about the UD Syukur Abadi certification to the PT Transtra Permada Certification Agency, complained about the UD Berkat Usaha Certification to the PT Transtra Permada Certification Agency, and also operated two sawmill processing companies indicated without legality in Kapuas District, one sawmill of wood processing company UD Setia Budi already has VLK in Gunung Mas Regency, one sawmill of a wood processing company already has VLK in Katingan District, the company was arrested in an illegal logging operation by the Forestry Service of Kalimantan Province.
These companies have SVLK, but do not obey the law after having VLK and PHPL Certification. Firm action on law enforcement, handling tenurial conflict resolution and encouraging openness of public access will close the space for the existence of forestry crime corporations in the management and utilization of forests that already have SVLK by the relevant institutions, said Wancino.
